In 2022, UMeWorld, through it's branded label - Dagola™ https://dagolaoil.com/, began producing diacylglycerol (DAG) oil for sale on the US market, as a healthier consumption alternative to traditional triglyceride (TAG) oils.
Most conventional cooking oils, whether derived from corn, soy, canola, or other vegetable sources are composed primarily of triglycerides, which remain a significant component of the unhealthy/fattening aspect of oil and other animal-based fats. DAG oil is known for its unique properties, including its ability to be digested and metabolized differently compared to other fats. It has been suggested that consuming DAG oil may lead to lower absorption and storage of dietary fats, potentially contributing to weight management and reducing the risk of obesity.
Through a patented enzymatic process, these conventional oils are converted by Dagola™ into a primarily DAG based oil (up to 80%), offering substantial physiological benefits compared to traditional TAG oil - primed for the advance of the wellness movement.
UMeWorld intends to ramp up production of DAG oil significantly over the course of 2024, acquiring a facility to increase domestic production by up to 100,000 tons per year.
